Chef is a remake of Hollywood movie Chef by Jon Favreau. The movie starts with Roshan ( Saif Ali Khan ) a local boy from Delhi. Roshan's father spent his hard earned money on his studies in a high level English medium school, so his son can become an Engineer, But far from his father's dreams Roshan has some other dreams, His passion is to become a chef, a world-famous chef. His dreams become his passion and he decides to end his fight with father for his profession and he runs away from home.

From there Roshan journey starts for pursuing his dreams, He land ups in a dhaba in Chandani Chowk called '' Chole Bhature Wala Chacha '', he leans making Chole Bhature, lives in hotel, cleans hotels, works in hotel. All Roshan's hard work gives the result and finally, he becomes a Chef De Cuisine at a Gulli Kitchen in New York with Three Michelin Stars. After a long time his reason for cooking changes, from Passion it becomes reason for livelihood. Roshan's ex-wife Radha ( Padmapriya ) lives with his son Arry ( Svar Kamble ) in Kochi, Kerala, Roshan now feels lonely and wants to meet Arry. Frustrated Roshan lands up in a fight with a customer, who dislikes his dish and shouts at him for the tasteless dish. He gets dismissed from his work. Roshan movies to Kochi and spends time with his son. How his meet with son brings back his passion back? Watch the father Son friendly story.
